River of Life

This animation was done for a low budget feature and had a very tight deadline. It was designed to look like it was done by the main character who is a teenager in high school. The 2D animation of the characters was done by Michael Raisler. The planet was created in Maya as well as the landscape which is an animated blendshape. The sequence was rendered with the Maya Software renderer and then batch processed with Photoshop with a combination of Filters to give it more of a cartoon "flat" style. After Effects was used to composite the elements and create the particle effect.
